Heya guys,

Basically I'm trying to figure out what anime clubs are out there and actually running! I've been out of the game for a long while (I used to be a member of the MAS years n years ago but since they've gone under, I don't know where else to look and most of the sites I look up have their screening dates way outta wack (as in the most recently being mid 2009 or earlier!).

What I'm mostly looking for is a club with a lending collection as I'm getting so sick of crappy quality streaming off the net and most of the series I wanna watch are too old to get decent torrent downloads. I'm keen on gettin to some screenings too, I just can't do it regularly as I'm not a student.

So I was curious if you guys were already up and running this year and when and where I should drop by to get a membership and get my fix.

I don't represent the club, but I do have info from a recent email sent to members...

Friday Screenings beginning the 22nd of January.
So come and rejoin your friends and watch some anime on the big
screen/wall.

The summer screenings will be at the usual time of 1-5pm in the Eco &
Com Building in Theatres 1 and 3 and the library will also be
available to members.

Last I checked (few years back) the library was very good. And the current librarian is quality.

stop by the club table on o'week and you can join up (thursday and friday 25th and 26th feb) or just attend any screenings, check the main page for info or join us in irc: #wwwa on irc.mergo.net

Tuesday is Canaan (Babel Building, Mid Theatrette)
Thursday is Kimi ni Todoke (Redmond Barry, Lowe Theatre)
Friday is Bakemonogatari (and whatever we feel like after that) (Old Arts, Theatre B)

All between 1-2

otherwise I may have to leave it til tuesday, but I can't b expected to stick around with the new final fantasy in my bag :3
