Nodame also finished though none of you people seem to have noticed. It was a decent ending but it wasn't really a climax. I guess the whole series sorta felt like it was just chugging along after season 1. Carrying on what was built up without really setting new goals. I'm not saying it was bad, just that it didn't seem to go any higher.
I'm afraid I have lost faith in Index. It WAS slow but decent, now it seems fanservice focused and illogical. Touma's ability is not defined well enough and I found his fight with Accelerator ridiculous. I'll still be watching it, but I no longer feel any desire to screen it. I stopped Toradora at ep 10 because qq stopped translating. I'll try AniYoshi for a bit because I'm done waiting. I've also picked up White Album, but that's a discussion for a new thread. You'll note this one is meant to be about the 2008 Autumn Season. With that in mind I'm going to go create a new thread. In other news I just noticed that Yozakura has finished, so I'll be watching that for a bit.
You think AniYoshi are slow? I try to avoid speed subbers, that is, groups that rigidly stick to releasing eps on time and may sacrifice quality for that (the notable exception being Eclipse). Ayu are slow, AonE are slow, AniYoshi just take their time to make things right.
So I finally finished Yozakura Quartet. I think it's solid. When shows like Index are collapsing around you it's nice to have a show that maintains a standard. I would be in favour of screening it.MaybeTuesday : Yozakura - ?Thursday : Toradora Friday : Kannagi + OthersI am reluctant to show Kannagi to a general audience, it'd probably be okay but the humour involves a lot of in-jokes. Perhaps we can reserve the slot after Yozakura for a Winter show of 12 eps.
