Greetings from your friendly publications officer, as voted by you.

Now as you may or may not know, I'm currently forming a newsletter idea in my head (ideas take time, especially in -my- brain) and I figured; Well, it might just look a wee bit better if we had some art to decorate it. Just maybe.

Sooooo, s'why I'm posting here. I'd love it if some of our members could pump out some lovely art for our upcoming newsletter. I haven't a fixed date yet but I would like to get it out either before the end of semester or at the mid-year marathons meaning you have around, ooh, two or three weeks. As fast as possible, plzkthnx.

As for what it is, well, anything goes. Fanart, random original character doodles, I really don't mind. You can draw me a stick figure if you really want. My only condition is that it is NOT, I repeat NOT, Hentai/Ecchi/Errotica/Nudity. Yes, I'm looking at you Vinter and Victory. Also, you might want to keep in mind that the newsletter will most likely be published in Black and White, so making a really dark picture might not be ideal.

Submissions can either be posted here or sent to my club e-mail, publications@3wanime.org.

Thank you~
- Kylie

At this point I have to step in and declare ecchi ok, by certain standards.  Suggestive drawings are alright, but nudity isn't.  It comes down to what is really appropriate.  It's not really okay to draw stuff purely for the sake of the ecchi (for the newsletter I mean) but if it happens to be in a picture that has some other value it's probably okay.  Remember Osiris-Lee has final judgment (I'll try to help) so you can always do stuff that can't be accepted (feel free to show me anyway).

You are actively encouraged to draw Horo.  I thoroughly approve.  Also the nudity rule is lifted in Horo's case so long as you do the censorship with hair thing.

I'm sure it's not THAT difficult to take whatever they submit and sort it.  I'll help.  I'll be VERY sure to check everything closely, couldn't let any NSFW slip-by without me noticing...

Does the art have to be produced originally? I'm one of them people who can only enhance existing pictures using software like Photoshop. I can do some rough sketches but nothing worth putting on a newsletter (crappy scanner and I don't know how to clean the lines and do the colouring and stuff using software).

Using copyrighted stuff is out.  Otherwise I think you're fine.  It'd be nice is Osiris-Lee responded, but I suspect exams are asserting themselves, they tend to do that...

Hey, you try writing three essays in Svoac. It kills your brain.

Anyway, as the President said, I'd really, really prefer original art for copyright reasons. And hey, I really don't care if it's just lineart! The newsletter will most likely be in black and white anyway, so line-art's great for decorating <3

As for a Due date...I'm going to say July 10th. It's two and a half weeks before we go back, so gives me enough time to put everything together and get it printed.
